Me – Ren the Artist: Musing Difficulty

Well, thank you for the good word on my first attempt. I’ve been urged by others to draw lots of hands, so I suppose I’ll do that eventually. And I feel I might eventually grow tired of hands. 😉

When it comes to difficulty, I’m not sure that hands are hardest for me. Personally, I find heads to be hard. I can never get them the right shape.. or the right proportion and they always seem wrong to me. Like some sort of study of mutation. any tips on freehand heads would be appreciated. I think I’m going to work up toward those. Draw other parts of the body first. I think I’ll do more hands and leg/foot combos next. Might try a torso, though I’ll need to find a good reference online that isn’t too plain or too ‘buff’.
