Art – Poser 5

I’ve broken down and bought Poser 5 along with a new computer that is currently making its way out of California on its way to my door. For the time being I’ve given up on drawing, but Poser is no less complex a tool than a pencil.

I got iy yesterday and began toying with it. Being able to make dynamic hair and dynamic cloth is daunting. But the ability to make stills and animate the figures into movies is alluring. I could illustrate my own stories or, at the very least, give life to my characters through this program.

I’ve started gathering links for Tutorials and scads of free stuff that I can download to enhance my already considerable base of material. I also have a line up of characters(my own and those of others) to give three dimensional form. To say I’m excited is right about on the money. As always, should I make anything I deem worthy of showing off, you’ll be among the first to see it. Right now I’m trying to master the hair maker, starting with one of my friend’s female characters. She has nice, long hair that will be a challenge to recreate.

I’m sure I’ll have to create the Pale Woman, hopefully I can find a suitable dress for her in my base content or online. It would have to fit her character at the very least. We shall see.
