One, or the other
Part of me wanted to immerse myself in the craziness going on in DC. My FB feed exploded and no group was safe-from my aquarium groups, writer and author groups, to my stitch groups (those, surprisingly, were the most amusing). The other part of me wanted to shut out the nonsense and bury myself in one of the two books I’ve been eyeballing for a bit, or throw my headphones in and just jam out ( Shinedown, Alanis Morissette, Shawn Mendez, Dua Lipa, and Hozier on rotation today), but neither happened. Quinn decided to test her boundaries, and my patience, and required just enough supervision that all the other stuff just faded away.
Friday, I will do all the things- music on the way to pick up Tamales, reading or writing while the munchkin naps, and the beginning of the 29 gal tank revamp after I put everyone else to bed while putting a hurting on my Tequila stash.

I see parts of you in the pictures painted with your eloquence.
I can almost see you through the shades of your own truth.
I hear echos of the child you were, man you are, and the force you wish to be.
Left wanting – yearning to know all of you
See all of you
Feel the eternal verity of your soul
Yet we remain strangers
Circling in the darkness of faceless anonymity
Waiting for a time
If it should ever come
To be blessed with the knowing
Of you
I love Shawn Mendes! 😘
