Tired and cloudy day

Dear Diary,

Got reacquainted with an old co-worker I found on Facebook today.  Joe is a great guy, straight and married, and we had a blast when we worked together.  Other than that I have spent the majority of today at the library.  It is now almost 4pm and I got here around 1:15pm.  I mailed Ryan a letter yesterday so hopefully he will get it tomorrow.  I want to call his lawyer tomorrow and see if he has any news.  I wish February 2nd would get here sooner.

Went to bed 2:30am and then something woke me up around 5pm so needless to say I might be taking a nap later.  I got Ryan’s mom an email address yesterday so now I can sign her up to company email lists so she can get some goodies.  I know Red Robin gives you a free burger on your birthday, so now she will get one this year.  I also made a Facebook account for her, so maybe she can find some old friends.  I have to bring her to the library one of these days.  She always thinks that because she is in a wheelchair that it is a big deal if I want her to go out with me to do something like shopping or seeing a movie.  It was an adventure last week seeing Ryan with her.  Finding parking down by the Justice Center isn’t easy for one thing, and then it’s just the waiting and butterflies I get before going to see him.  He has said he will cut his hair short when he gets out, which I am thrilled about!  He looks cuter with short hair to me and I am sure I will be all over him when he does.  I am hoping this "protection order" will expire after Ryan’s sentencing.

Cameron, Ryan’s nephew, came over last Friday and I had a blast with him.  He is going to be 10 this year and he is such a kid.  I showed him a few games on my computer, and then we played a few PlayStation 2 games.  He needs more practice with Dance Dance Revolution.  We both cracked up playing Sky Kid, an older game from the Namco company, you know, the one who created Pac Man and Galaga.  We kept crashing the plane into trees, and then we tried shooting the cheerleaders who appear at the end of your mission as you land the plane.  Later that day Cam went outside and built a small snowhill so he could sled down it.  I took a video of this on my cell phone and showed it to his mom and grandmother afterwards.

Thank you to all of your thoughts and prayers for Ryan and me.  I do let him know he is not alone and that he is loved.
