I’m 26 now

Dear Diary,

Well, today went a lot better than yesterday.  I knew today I wouldn’t have "no shows" like yesterday, and made me appreciate my mother more.  I woke this morning around nine o’clock and thought about if there were snow outside which church I should go to.  My mother wasn’t home yet, so I checked my email.  I went to LIberation, which I haven’t gone to for a month due to my mother and I going to Lenten services at different churches.  It was nice seeing those familiar faces.  My mother took me out to Bennigan’s at Great Northern since I had their email coupon.  As the greeter sat us down she said Scott would be our waiter.  Well I happened to go to the bathroom then and who should be in there tucking his shirt in than a cute waiter with "Scott" on his nametag.  I introduced myself and said he’d be our waiter.  He had earrings in his earlobe and a goatee and it was a different look for me to see in a guy I liked.  I tried to figure out if he was bi or gay or str8 but my gaydar sucks, but I left him my email address anyway afterwards.  He hasn’t emailed yet.

I spend the afternoon tired and laying down in bed.  I got up around 4pm and my mother wanted to know if I wanted to go out to dinner.  We went to the White Oaks is Westlake, which is formal so I changed.  It was a nice day to go, even though the trees are bare.  I watched the ducks in the stream below and thought it odd that duck was on the menu.

Back at home I looked forward to watching the Simpsons at 8pm, but instead they had the "Drive" show on.  Turns out the Simpsons were at 7pm tonight.  Grrrrr.  Tomorrow I start my new project at work, plus my friends at work are taking me out to lunch, so that will be nice.
