60 Years Old Birthday

Dear Diary,

Well my mother turned 60 yesterday, and from what I heard it sounded a lot like my birthday whe I tried to get all my friends together.  Everything didn’t seem to go her way and she would angry and frustrated when I got home from work.  Apparantly she got mad with some friends who cancelled on her to watch the NBA Finals that night.  But it turns out they DID show up later that evening.  They said that they called first to see if we were there.  The Cavs lost but they are still champions.  There’s always next year.

I’m reading "Boy Culture" by Matthew Rettenmund at work.  It was made into a film I hear and I wished I had seen it when it was at the Cleveland Film Festival this year.  PRIDE is tomorrow and I hope I meet someone nice.  I really need a boyfriend.  My mother’s not getting any younger and I need someone to have around when she passes away.  I hate this loneliness I feel.  Why is a good guy so hard to find?  I think I have some idea of the man I want, but it just never seems to happen.  I haven’t been on a date in years.  *Sigh*

Wow am I late for the party.  After looking around online about the movie, I found out the movie was announced Sept 2006.  Oh well, better late than never.

I can’t wait for her next book in October!

i was reading some of my old entries today and found that I use this phrase a lot. "I hope we become good friends."  It was usually me meeting a new person online or at a restaurant, but looking back and reading about these encounters makes me appreciate my real friends.  I don’t know if I was just filled with mostly false hope back then or what.  Like I mentioned before, tomorrow is PRIDE, but I’m not getting my hopes up of finding someone. *SIGH*
