Hey GUYS .. LISTEN UP!!

     Quite a while ago, one of my oldest favorites, wrote an entry to ‘the girls only’, regarding what they should look for in their man. Basically, what ‘not to’, unless ‘he’ had these things going for him. It was good.  I noted her, suggesting she now write one for the guys .. or " maybe I should write one".  TO THIS, she thought I’d made a PERFECT task for myself and encouraged me to go forward with it, coaxing as only SHE can.  I mean who better than a guy .. enlightening other guys.

     I tried to accommodate her, but nothing stuck.  I bogged down every time! Not enough, to little .. what did I miss? it was tough!!

     This morning, however .. reading a new favorite’s older entries .. I found her tribute of her value to her husband and remembered my unfulfilled challenge from Ambie (I love you, Amber!).   Certainly, a guy couldn’t resist a girl with these traits in her flavor .. I mean, FAVOR.

I’m the girl who will put her head on your shoulder, not because she’s sleepy, but because she wants to be closer to you…
     D – If we treat this gesture as a ‘Keep Off The Grass’ warning to another female present and get irratated with it .. watch THAT girl.  She’ll be trouble .. we’ll see to that!

I’m the girl who likes to be kissed under the stars, more then inside your bedroom or in a expensive restaurant…
      D- THIS is so female, SO romantic.  Be sure the wine is ALL in your glass. Coax us knuckleheads with glossy lips that part, slightly .. JUST as we notice them, then idly glance away and look back into our eyes .. you better hold on to the wharf railing.  NO LUCK?  better check his pulse.  We like kissing .. REALLY.

I’m the girl who loves to end a hug with a kiss…
      D- You KNOW what we like to end hugs with .. get him in the habit of this from you and you’ll have puppy .. a ‘pointer’.  It’s so much more rewarding than rubbing a soft blouse.
 
I’m the girl who you can talk to about anything…
     D. Believe it or NOT .. we really want to believe that!  Men LOVE comfort.  You teach us what we can and can’t rely on.  Not listening, in accord with our conversation, gives us the impression that you don’t ‘understand’.  Stay calm and let him express himself. 
 
I’m the girl who laughs at your jokes…
     D.- EVERY time?  If so, YOU. ARE. PRICELESS!!
 
I’m the girl who will have many inside jokes with you and remember each one…
     D.- We love knowing you find us SPECIAL.
 
I’m the girl who will brag about you to all of my friends…
     D. – Remember to brag to us, also. Men are designed to move mountains, if necessary.  Your encouragement will never fall on deaf ears and will keep our souls free for your bidding.  

I’m the girl who will listen to you talk…
     D.- NEVER roll your eyes or yawn or get that ‘What about ME?’ look on your face.
 
I’m the girl who loves when you hug me for no apparent reason…
     D.- As long as you’re ‘huggable’ .. you’ll get your share of hugs. 
 
I’m the girl who loves you for you; and doesn’t care what other people say about you or us…
     D.- THIS is paramount!  Because as men, it’s never a factor how others feel about the decision he’s made to BE with you.   Often females are more cautious and their SO is subject to a person (her friend) who isn’t in his bed, head or future. YOU are.  THINK FOR YOURSELF and share what you will with your friends.  HE’S your BEST FRIEND.

     Well, there you have it!  Guys, if she feels THIS way ..treats you this way ..  you have someone sincere and loving, fun and adventurous, intimately delightful to be around. Sorry about the secrets, but you know it’s the truth.

     This list isn’t complete, for sure. But, it covers fertile ground. If you don’t agree or have a better guideline .. enlighten ME.  I’d love to hear it.   ~SPILL!
