The Start Of An Update***Edit and Continuation
On lunch again, so I think I’ll try to update as much as I can and then just update the rest at home tonight…
Last weekend was nice. Left work at 1pm to go shopping with the Plant Mgr’s Exec Asst. for our Summerfest prizes. We went to Target at the Millbury mall. We got an iPad2, a GPS, Wii, a grill, a Red Sox Cooler prize, a Car Wash basket, a romantic weekend trip, a kayak, and a large flat screen tv. Since I was doing the shopping for work, I was still technically working. However, at least I got to leave at 1 and got out of the office. We got back to work around 3:30 and unloaded everything. I dropped the exec. Asst. off at home and headed home myself. I got home around 5ish and ended up taking a big nap until 8:30. I called my mom to see if she needed anything and then went back to sleep for the rest of the night.
Saturday I was up pretty early. I hung out and did some light cleaning until 9am when I called my mom to let her know I was on my way to pick her up. We had a day of shopping planned because she was soon leaving for Florida that next Friday. I had to get her all set for clothing/camera/packing, etc. and Saturday was the day. We again went to the Millbury mall and hit Target (again), Best Buy, Kohl’s, and Staples. I bought my mom a brand new camera, 4 pairs of sandals and some clothes. I bought her a Nikon like I have so it would be easier for me to download her pictures onto my computer, etc. I also bought her a carrying case and bought myself a new one. I bought some clothes, shoes for myself also. We then went home and I packed her all up so she was ready to go. We hung out for a bit and then my aunt walked in the room and announced that she was going to go to Stein Mart. My mom and I both wanted to go so off we all went!! I bought so much stuff! We then went to my cousin’s pizza place that is right next door. We had pizza and salad and chatted with my cousins and then called it a night. Lots of fun, and lots of spending!! I can’t wait to take pictures of everything and share on OD. I think I will do that tonight.
Sunday I woke up and headed out to meet my friends in Natick. They were running late so I stopped at Panera Bread and had breakfast there. My first friend showed up and we headed in to Target (YIKES, third time in three days!!!!) We were in and out in a flash and then headed to Babies R’ Us where my other friend met up with us. We spent the majority of our time there. My friend had to finish registering for her baby shower so we were just there helping her. After a long time in there, we went to a restaurant to eat. Spent another hour there hanging out and then headed home. I went straight to my mom’s to hang out with her and then headed home for an early night. Everything was completed early. I was in heaven because my internet was not working so I couldn’t’t do any work over the weekend. I did check my email on my cell phone, but there wasn’t anything too major. I had NO anxiety on Sunday night and I was asleep by 8:30 pm. I fell asleep watching The Pelican Brief which I love and I woke up at 4am and made it to the gym!! Okay, that’s where I’ll stop for now.
*****Edit*****
So I made it to the gym 3 out of my 3 days that I wanted to go. I also decorated and worked all the day Summerfest sessions. Tuesday night I went to One Eleven Chophouse for one of our supervisors that was retiring. On Wednesday morning I started decorating at 8am and finished right at 11am, just as the first session was starting. Looked like all our employees enjoyed it which was nice… Between that and the gym in the mornings I was going to sleep around 8-8:30pm each night. I was also going to my mom’s house every night after work to hang out with her and make sure all she needed was getting done. I went to work early on Friday and left around 3:30…
My weekend started right when I left work. I dropped the exec. asst. off again and got home around 4:30 after tending to my mom’s pool, bringing in the mail, etc. I quickly fed the cat, changed and headed to the last hooray at the scrapbooking store. They were having an auction for everything that was left at the store. I spent just over $100 and got probably over $1000 worth of stuff. I haven’t put it away yet because I have so much. I will probably take some pics and try to organize this coming weekend. The auction was fun and lasted until about 9pm so I was pooped by the time I got home and went straight to bed.
Saturday was spent on some light cleaning and running errands like going back to my mom’s to tend to the fish, pool, etc. After finishing what needed to get done I went to the bank and transferred some money into my checking account. We had tax free weekend in Mass so I went out thinking I was going to go purchase either an ipad or some kind of tablet. While at the store I played with a couple and found out they weren’t what I was looking for. I talked to and associate at the store and after showing me several laptops………………………….I BOUGHT AN HP PAVILION DV6!**Squeals!** More about that later… I set everything up, and got ready for a cocktail party at my friends house. Went there with a bottle of skinnygirl margarita and had a blast.
Sunday was filled with more errands and laundry for the first half of the day. I went to my mom’s ended up taking a nap, got home around 4pm and started doing work. I was done by 6:30 so I had two hours to just chill!! It was lovely and it was filled with (don’t laugh) watching episodes of The Golden Girls, sipping on sleepy time tea, and hanging out with my cat.
<span style="font-size: small”>I ended up going to sleep around 10pm and didn’t make it the gym this morning. That’s okay though because I got up early enough to make it in to work earlier than usual. I had an orientation for new hires today so I wanted to get there to set up. Tomorrow is another day. It was busy but uneventful at the same time. A girl that is on my team is coming back from her honeymoon tomorrow and I had a banner printed out saying, "Welcome back Mrs. V___" I also decorated her cubicle with lays (spelling is wrong) left over from our summerfest. Our theme was a Hawaiian Luau.
So, about the computer…
I absolutely love it!!! You don’t even know how excited I am! It has great memory/hard drive memory (I don’t know my jargon…I’m so not a techi) and it has a built in webcam, an extended keyboard so I can type numbers quickly, and a fingerprint sensor. The best thing about it is that it works. I’ve had a slowly dying computer for a couple years now and I was so scared that it would die and I would lose everything. Luckily I am slowly moving my stuff from my old to new computer.
I think I’ll stop here again. I’ll post pics in a separate entry, but this brings me up to date. Hope everyone had a great Monday. Wish me luck on getting to the gym tomorrow…hahahaha…
wow…a romantic trip at Target? I didn’t know they sold those! 😉

I would be in Target that often if we had one closer.
