Start of Thanksgiving Weekend

It’s the tail end of my lunch break so I think I’ll start this entry. I have a phone interview at 1pm, so there isn’t much I can start on my to do list from now until then. Thanksgiving was a blast. I really got tired, but it was worth it. I already miss my cousins and wish they were still here.

Wednesday evening around 3:30 I told everyone in the office (HR) to wrap up what they were working on and go home. I stayed a bit longer to finish some stuff because I really didn’t want to work during the long weekend….or the least amount as possible. I think I left around 6pm and after stopping at my place to change, feed the cat, etc, I headed over to my mom’s to meet everyone there. We all had dinner and set our plans for the weekend. My cousin Marina suggested we go out for a bit and I offered to drive. Her and I went to a place called Vincent’s for a bit, and then proceeded to go to a few more places. Overall the night was fun, BUT, being the good designated driver that I am, I didn’t make it home until about 3:30 AM. I did however see a shooting star as I was pulling into my driveway. Since I had to call Sy at 4am to wake him up so he could catch his flight, I went outside to pass the time. As I was looking at all the stars I saw two more shooting stars.
 
I think I’ll stop there…I need to call my candidate now.
 
I’m back with a couple minutes until my next meeting.
Thursday I woke up a little later than usual, showered, got ready and headed over to my mom’s house. I helped her with whatever she needed that was left to set up or get ready. I played with the baby for a long while as we all hung out and waited on some others to show up. After dinner I cleaned all the dishes to help my mom. Everything went pretty smoothly and it helped getting my mind off of wanting dessert. We had guests come and go all evening and we all sat and chatted in our living room like we do every year. My very good friend that lives in Florida was home for Thanksgiving so I headed over to her house for an “after Thanksgiving party”. I have a couple pictures of this day that I will post.
