Writing More…

Good day to all.  There’s not much going on here.  I’m at work, but they’ve run out of things for me to do, so here I am.  Well, that and Wisa telling me that I need to write more entries.  The holidays went well, I got in as much sleep as I could.  School starts this coming week.  That means I’ll be in school on my birthday.  Arg!

Let’s see, what happens in the day to day life of Damien (hehe!).  Hmm… well, guess we could start from the beginning.

If it’s a day when I have no school or work I try to sleep in as much as I can.  Once I get up it can be anywhere between 10am and noon.  During the days I have school and work I carpool with my sisters.  This is usually not the best way to wake up though.  My sister (the one who drives) has a habit of running late.  But once she’s done you better be out the door because she will either honk the horn over and over until you get into the car or she’ll take off.  During the holidays I usually end up doing house work and the like, talk to friends, play video games, watch movies, that sort of thing.  There’s not much to do around here.  The pitiful clubs that they have around here quickly lose their charm after the first visit.  If it’s during the school year I go to classes first and then to work.  Usually I listen to music on my way to classes.  I’ve been wanting to buy an MP3 player, but haven’t gotten around to finding one that I really like that’s also not overpriced.  So, I have to be content with my old Discman (for those younger generation, a Discman is a CD player…I’ve found that many of the younger generation have hardly any idea what a Discman is, but immediately know what a MP3 player is)

Anyway…

During the course of each day I’m usually thinking about at least a few different stories.  I’m never short of ideas for a story.  If those ideas are good is up for debate though.  Right now I’ve got ideas for at least three different fan fics and two for more original stories.  To those that don’t know, a fan fiction, or fanfic, are stories of preexisting ideas.  It could be from a book, a movie, a video game, a television show.  If anyone is interested, the best place is probably   http://www.fanfiction.net  That’s where I usually go.  Right now I’m actually working on a story that I started to post on there, but I only have the first chapter.  It’s on that movie Labyrinth.  The children of the 80s should know what I’m talking about, the one with David Bowie.  I’m also thinking of writing stories on Kingdom Hearts (a video game for the PS2 and probably one of the greatest games of all time…that is until KH2 comes out, hehe), Peter Pan, and Teen Titans.  If anyone’s interested in the Labyrinth story let me know and I’ll tell you which fanfic is mine.

Here’s a question for all the video gamers out there.  If you buy a Nintendo GameCube, will the Game Boy Advanced games work on it, or will they only work on GBA?  I want to know mostly because Squaresoft released a bridge gap game for Kingdom Hearts, (a bridge gap game is one that connects the first game to the sequal, like Enter the Matrix did for The Matrix and The Matrix Reloaded.  So, I’d like to know the new game, Kingdom Hearts, Chain of Memories can be played on a GameCube or do I have to buy the GBA?  I’d like to know mostly because the GameCube isn’t that much more expensive than the new GBA (I think it’s called DS or something).  I’d prefer buying the home system instead of the GBA for now, I just want to know if it’s worth it.

Well, I think I’ve run out of things to say.  Good day to all.

For decently priced MP3 player of name brand, I vote Target! For less than $100, I purchased one by Memorex (or however you spell it) with 256MB (about 4 hours of space)
