  Good day to all.  I’m alive.  A little worse for wear, but I"m here.  The semester has started and classes are going well.  But its not the classes that worry me.  What really worries me is that I haven’t recieved financial aid yet.  Its in contention right now.  The university says that I have too many attempted hours even though I haven’t graduated yet.  However, my advisor and I are trying to get them to exempt me.

  If the standard exemption doesn’t work though, that’s where it gets ugly.  I haven’t been properly advised at UTEP until I got the the English department, which was about a year and a half ago.  When I first arrived the general advisor didn’t even advise me.  Instead they were more worried that I passed a state test to enter into the university.  Then creative writing went though its whole stupid shake up.  I’m pretty sure I wrote about CW in an earlier entry.  Plus, my one time attempt at a minor in music also went though 2 years before proper advising.  Needless to say, while I may not be the best student, I feel that UTEP has a share of the blame in the number of useless classes I’ve ended up with.  Needless to say, I hope this clears up soon.

  So, I’ve been stressed on the financial end as well.  Things aren’t exactly going all that well.  Dating has kind of been shifted off to the side for the basic fact that I don’t have the money to be dating right now.  Which also means that I’m not getting any physical comfort either.  So, little stressed, little pent-up, little depressed.  Hopefully things get better soon.  Anyway, better get back to work.  Good day to all.
