I sing the song of the code of the past

The essence of the sunlight & the stars

Of the winds of spring & the colors of autumn

I sing the song of the two paths of Life

And the one that chose to walk between them

I tell the tale of a knight proud & noble

Of one with a lion’s courage & the heart to match

Yet cursed with the lion’s share of deepest kind of sadness

One that bites deeper than the sharp teeth of Old Man Winter

I tell the tale of the knight that walks alone

Only by destiny and not by choice

I say the story of the battles fought & victories won

The endless search for an unnamed essence to fill the void deep within

Of looking to the stars & prayers that seem in vain

The feelings of a vow said in years past

And the love buried in the caverns of the heart

I say the story of sword with the body & the love in the soul

I sing the song of the quest that seems endless

The tears never shed & the passion only released in the thick of war

Of the bittersweet dreams of waking to the cold reality

The love and joy always given but never received

I sing the song of the knight that walks alone

Blessed by the heavens & damned by the fates

Only by destiny and not by choice
