In what twisted universe…
…does mastering Eddie Van Halen’s two-handed arpeggio count as doing absolutely nothing?"

Good eve to all. I’m back, finally. Finals are over. I passed all my classes, with two Cs, one B, and one A. I think that’s pretty good for four literature classes with over 20 books to read in one semester. I read pretty close to lower-level speed reader status, but even I don’t read fast enough to deal with all the books I had to this semester. This is honestly the first time I ever used SparkNotes, or any of its equlivants. I didn’t even use that stuff in high school. Eh, I’m okay with my grades though. I did the best I could with everything that went on this semester.
But it wasn’t just finals that kept me from writing. The floor of the office where I work was picked as the next place to change the carpeting. It wasn’t just about new carpet though. Since it is an old building they were also going to check for and clean out any asbestos they found under the old carpet. But in order to do that we had to move out, completely. So we spent the last few days of finals and a couple days after packing stuff up and moving down temporarily to the 4th floor. Since we don’t have an official technology coordinator anymore, I’m all the center has, not that I’m officially certified or anything. Its just that everyone else says they know little to nothing about technology beyond turn it on. Anyway, moving boxes, heavy furniture, unplugging computers and then setting them up again downstairs was exhausting.
Not too long after that ended I caught a stomach flu that was going through the family. I was the last family member to catch it. We all thought I had gotten lucky and not gotten it, but I guess my immune system had been fighting it for awhile and then finally gave out. That really takes alot out of you. Yesterday and today are the first time I feel at least semi-okay. I just get tired easier right now. Otherwise I’m okay again.
I got my main holiday shopping out of the way before I got sick, but I wanted to get stocking stuffers and the like but no go on that one. I need to work on my car too. I think the battery is dead. Between the semester, work, and finally the flu my car has just been sitting there. I haven’t had time to do anything. I got the new registration right before I got sick, but I still need the new inspection sticker.
So it hasn’t exactly been the holiday season, but I feel better now, my family is here healthy and safe, and maybe I can convince someone to go out with me into the holiday madness tomorrow. So to all a good night.
