CoH CoS (Chapter 14)

Damien sighed and dropped his backpack on the floor. He slowly walked over to the desk and emptied his pockets. He stood in front of his desk and looked at his lightsabers for a few moments. One snapped into his hand and ignited. He stared at the gold colored light for a few moments before shutting the saber off and placing it back on the desk. He layed down on his bed and closed his eyes. After the early arrival of the Randon he had been thrown between meetings, training sessions, intelligence sessions, and his personal training. After his fight against the Randon he was taking his training even more seriously. He was just glad that classes had ended for the semester. After a few moments he fell asleep.

Three hours later…

Damien woke up by a light knock at the door. He streched as he walked to the door and opened it. He smiled softly as he opened the door.

“Hi Starr.”

He moved aside and gestured her in. She walked in and sat down on his bed.

“You look cute half asleep.”

Damien smiled at her again and walked toward the bathroom.

“Be right out.”

Damien splashed water on his face and ran his hands through his hair. He walked out and smiled at her.

“What’s up hun?”

Starr smiled at walked over to him. She kissed him and whispered in his ear. Damien and laughed and smiled.

“Je ne comprendis ma cherie.”

Starr looked at him for a second and burst out laughing.

“Damien, I do love you so, but in all honesty, french was one of the few languages you didn’t learn very well at all.”

He smirked and kissed her.

“What can I say, after so many others languages, including non-earth languages, I haven’t really had to time to learn much french. You’re lucky that you got that line as little butchered as it is. And I’m still not sure I even said was I meant to.”

She laughed again and smiled at him, kissing his lips softly.

“So what were you trying to say?”

“That I didn’t understand what you said..I think.”

She did her best to imitate his signature smirk and laughed halfway through the impression.

“That I want to take you out tonight. I know that you’ve been stressing alot. All the Knights have. But you espically and I think you deserve some time off and some fun too. And I’m not taking no for an answer.”

With that last word she held her hand out and one of Damien’s lightsabers flew into her hand and ignited.

“Even if I have to prod you all the way there with your own saber.”

Damien did another signature facial expression with the slight lifting of one eyebrown before the other lightsaber flew into his hand and ignited.

“You’re welcome to try anytime hun…”

Damien smiled and shut the lightsaber off.

“But in this case you won’t have to. I probably should get out. So I accept your most gracious invitation.”

She smiled back and shut off the lightsaber.

“Then go on and get in the shower.”

“Won’t join me?”

“Normally I would, but you know as well as I do that it’s just gonna slow us down. Sides we can talk about a “violin/piano duet” later.”

He laughed at her mention of their little inside joke and walked into the bathroom to take his shower…
