Welcome to the longest week of my life

This is it folks! The HOME STRETCH! About 7 days to go (according to the countdown calendar but if you count it out by hand it comes to 8) until the C-Section! Gosh I pray it is sooner!

I am over all the pains I am having. For the most part I am doing great – but the pain is worse due to the fibro and torn disk in my back and the fact I can only take Tylenol (which, by the way, does diddly squat).

Autumn is moving but not as stongly as she was – no super hard kicks but I can feel her wiggling in there. She is out of room! I don’t think that my skin can stretch anymore!

A bit of TMI –
What does a contraction actually feel like? Do they hurt? Can I have contractions and not realize that I am having them? Do they feel like gut cramps like if you have IBS? or DO they feel like menstrual cramps or neither? Is it just tightening of the abdomen? I have had some feelings of tightening with no pain, a dull ache like when I would have my period, and pain like when I have to “make #2”, off and on.

I have been feeling a bit nauseous the last couple of days & have had loose stools. My boobs have gotten bigger and the nipples itch and hurt a bit. Colostrom has started to drip a tiny bit – not enough to soak a shirt but it is starting. I do not think Autumn has dropped yet – but they say that she may not until labor starts (if it does – I mean I am still 13 days away from the due date). Thank the Lord I am having the C-section in less time than that —

7 days. 7 LONG days………

First entry for today

Hey, that sounds like contractions to me! Mine just felt like a stomachache and backache happening at the same time (when they first started). How far apart are the cramps, or is it constant? Sometimes the cramping can come before the contractions. Wow, what if you go into labor?? This is so exciting… Autumn will be here any time now!

7 days! That is SO soon!!!!!!! I know it will feel like forever to you though!! HOW EXCITING!!!!!! 🙂

Ahhh… this is so exciting! I don’t know about “real” contractions, but my Braxton Hicks are just a tightening of the abdomen, sometimes accompanied by slight cramping, sometimes by severe pain, sometimes by nothing. Some are very obvious, and some I only notice because I feel my stomach and it’s as hard as a rock.

Wow. You are so close!! When I had contractions, I couldn’t walk or anything, they hurt that much. I felt them all down between my legs too. *hugs*

That’s so exciting! You are so close! I’ve been wondering that about contractions too; I get so nervous about everything because it’s NEW. And it’s one of those…how do I know this is what I’m feeling? Good luck to you! 🙂

When I was having my boys, (both times I was induced) but I wasnt having any contractions, or so I thought. When they hooked me up to the monitor, I was having them. It didnt hurt they were just a tightening of my belly. 🙂

Contractions are well, painful! lol I had them in my back with Payton & Abs with Adi. THe back ones were the worst. They were a burning, intense pain that I honestly can’t compare to anything else! Sorry 🙁

oh wow! that’s so exciting! i mean, i’m sure you are just waiting for it to be THE DAY already … but doesn’t it blow your mind?! congrats! can’t wait to hear about everything!

No longer than 7 days. She may be here before that. Can’t help you with the contractions: some women have told me they’re almost unbearable, others have said the pain is greatly exaggerated. I guess it differs from woman to woman. You’l be fine, they’ll take good care of you!

Hang in there. She’ll be here before you know. I can’t really help you with the contractions, but my friend just had twins a couple of months ago and she said some hurt and some she couldn’t really feel until she was in labor.

I can’t remember contraction and labor. I think I blocked it from my memory *laughs*

Oh, I was going to say I have a scheduled C-Sect too, since I am high risk; they hope to keep me from going into full labor. And, yes, contractions do hurt (now that I am thinking about it) but much more as they become regular and further along.

that sounds like early stages of labor to me! i would not be surprised at all if you have Autumn earlier. not at all surprised!! rest while you can mommy to be! hehe

With One the contractions were totally painless, just a real tightening and kind of a downward pressure feeling. They never got “regular” or did any of the textbook stuff and he arrived in about 2 hours of “real” labor with never any real pain. Two and Three were bigger, were inductions and the contractions were more painful, but maybe by virtue of induction putting me directly into “transition”(c

and skipping the whole “ramp-up” of early labor, which probably sends out tons of beta-blockers or other natural painkillers as you go along (hence less pain). It is different for everyone, every time, though, so you have to go by what YOUR body is telling you. Do you feel like you are going into labor? Then you are! The nurses at Kaiser (curse their toenails) told me I was NOT in labor with One(c

and that I should go back to bed, since I was 2 weeks early and nothing “textbook” was happening. I KNEW I was in labor despite what they said. Luckily I had a regular appointment, and on arrival they told me “You are 100% effaced, 3 cm dilated and I could pop your waters just by touching, because the sac is protruding through the cervix”. They checked me in immediately and 2 hours later(c)

I was officially a mom 🙂 So, Like I said (babbling, I know) listen to YOUR body, not someone else’s textbook. I can’t wait to see pictures of your beautiful girl, and I know everything will go splendidly.~Hugs~ (but verrry gently)

Ooooh, so close!

Do you think you are in labor?!

You know, I always knew I was going into labor when I started to get loose stools…no pain, just loose stool. It’s always been the best indicator for me. *shrugs* 🙂

woot woot! 😉

For me the contractions where really, really bad menstral cramps. The worse you could ever have. Although some women go into labor never knowing they are in labor. It’s not uncommon for women to be in labor or even diolated to 3 or more and have contractions. I was diolated to 3 a week before going into labor. Everyone is different. But i really hate the women who don’t have any hard labor.

Oh, you’re having a c/s, forget my last note. Why are you having a c/s?
