The To Do list
Well I did not get much done on it. I am out of steam for now I think.
Here is how it looks so far…
- Eat lunch (I slept through breakfast)
- Dishes
- Laundry
- Finish lamp shade
- Line wicker basket
- Work on my baby book
- Shower gift thank you cards
- Start on table cloth for small round side table
- Water plants
- Fill indoor pond
- Vacuum seal meat (HAVE TO DO TODAY!!!)
- Vacuum Autumn’s room
- Cook supper (oven fry pork chops, applesauce, stuffing, and lemony green beans)
- Maybe play SWG for a bit.
Sister is coming over for supper. She just called me and asked if she could join us. I don’t mind – I have eight small boneless center cut porkchops and I knew it would feed the four of us – four of us cause I knew she had niece. But, at the very last minute of the phone conversation, she said she had niece’s friend with her. UGH I don’t have enough pork chops to feed another pre-teen. Sis said she would go to the store and pick up some extra food.
I have a head ache. It started about an hour and a half ago.
I am tired and frustrated that I did not get much done today.
I slept on the sofa again, sitting up. Due to heartburn. I cannot lay down at all it seems.
I feel like I want to just burst into tears. No reason for this. Nothing is wrong. Must just be the hormones. Well it is not just a feeling of wanting to burst into tears — there they go — running down my face. Why why why?
Tried to start on my shower thank you’s this afternoon. I am not good at writing thank you’s. It sounded so lame. Anyone have any tips? or a sample thank you that you can share with me?
Ok gotta run – find a tissue before I snot all over myself from crying. The one thing I hate most about crying is the runny nose.
Second entry for today
Gosh – that reminds me, I need to finish my thank yous – most of my thank yous were personalized for whom I wrote em – like (example) “thanks for the adorable outfits, I can’t wait to dress her in em and show her off” Sounds like of corny – but I know I personally hate just getting “thanks for the gift – signed whomever” 🙂

that liner just isn’t finding it’s way into the bin is it? Then again I don’t have a bin yet so you’re one up on me! “Thank you so much for helping me/us celebrate the upcoming birth of my/our daughter and for the lovely ___ that you gave her, it is very much appreciated….” xxx

i just write “Thank you so much for the wonderful gift” then i add something personal like “I bet she will look so pretty in this”, or “the *Whatever-you-got-me* will be a life saver and come in so when baby comes” hope that helps!

God I remember that kind of heartburn. Even after I had Zay I still had it, although to a slightly lesser degree. It took Nexium to really curtail it. While I was preggers I practically lived on ES Tums.

Sorry to hear about your heartburn, headaches, swelling, and exhaustion. You are going through a lot. I hope you feel better. I think that’s a lot done on your list.

Better to get some things done then none at all :0)

You have some good thank you suggestions up there. I was going to add more… but I think they covered it. 😉 Only 2 more weeks now. You’re almost there!

I like Miss Amy’s Thank-You note. Simple and to the point, but tells how you appreciate the attention–which is the bottom line of Baby Shower (aside from much needed “stuff” I mean). My baby showers (yep, I had one for each kid, though toned down for Two and Three) were wonderful because of the love&attention part.Idiots kept trying to feed me carrot cake though **gags** never did figure that one
