Quickie

I am still alive – sore such but still alive.

I just wanted to let you all know that. I know some of you have been worried about me. (Yes, my friend I will send you an email, but maybe not today. 🙂 )

I had my interview with SSI Disabliltiy on Tuesday – they were over 2 hours late in calling me. It was nerve wracking. My brain started acting up and I had trouble getting words out, par for the course.

The interviewer did have the nerve to ask me – well if you have problems with your back and the fibro – how do you pick up and care for your daughter. I could not belive she said that.

Of course most of the time Autumn WALKS duh she is almost 15 months old woman. she is petite, Thank goodness for that and weighs about 19 or 20 pounds. If I have to carry her around for long periods of time – yes my back starts hurting – that is why I am on LORTAB 10 and SOMA 350 both 2 times a day – Gah. I do what I have to do to take care of my daughter, my family and the house. Some days I just don’t have it in me to do everything so the house slips into disorganized chaos and dirty dishes and dirty laundry. SO WHAT – My daughter comes first. If I hurt I hurt. Thank goodness I am home where I CAN take my medicine and lay down if I need to. If I were working at a job outside my home do you think the boss would let me go lay down for an hour or two once or twice a day? I don’t think so.

SO anyway the call was 2 hours late and ran over a hour. Then she told me I had to wait for another call from another office …. My whole day was wasted. The second call was about supplamental disablility. I got turned down for it in a letter but I had to go through the whole thing again – just to have her tell me I did not qualify. Stupid stupid – good thing my cell phone has free incoming calls….

I see my neurologist in September. That is when I am going to ask him about Lupus. I know you can have both Fibro and Lupus at the same time. My mom does.

Anyway so much for a quick entery…. I have to run – mom duty.

I will try to write more. I just have not felt like it. Don’t worry though, I renewed my subscription for a whole year.

Huggles and Smooches.

*hugs* I’m sorry things are being shitty with the disability people. Didn’t the lady tell you that you’d have to try over and over again? *hugs* I hope you don’t have to, but they suck anyway. Hope everything else is okay. I miss you. Love, Lydia

D’oh! I think I’d want to punch the interviewer right between the eyes. “If it hurts, how do you still interview and annoy people?” *hugs* I miss you.

I’ve heard it can be a real bitch to get onto disability if you’re diagnosis isn’t on their “list” of automatics. ((hugs))

*HUGS* God will work it all out for you! Love you!

Gah. It seems like everyone who works in any sort of social service doesn’t know how to carry on an interview without saying something stupid to hurt the consumer. That’s why I think that everyone who works in social services should have proper training and education, otherwise they do more harm than good.

*hugs* I was getting worried about you. Glad you updated. I would love to get together with the kids one day. Maybe on a Saturday? Sundays, they are with their dads so it is harder. Let me know. And I need your number-again. lol I keep losing it!

Hang in there! and if you haven’t already, I’d recommend getting a lawyer that works with disability cases. My case drug out for 3 years 🙁 only upside was they have to pay from date you first applied- so when the judge finally ruled for me– I got 3 years worth of pay at once to start. Course… that basically just covered the loans I had taken to survive 3 years 😛

I am glad you renewed.. I would hate to find and then lose ya! 🙂

Take care of you girl! (((HUG)))

Glad you are Ok. You know isn’t it weird how the public wants you there for the appointment, but they feel as though they don’t have to show you any kind of respect! That’s wrong the way those people treat you, They act as though you are telling them to give you their personal money.. But then to… didn’t your doctor have to give you a letter to give them? Does that count for anything? Next time

Before you go to your appointment, Let us know. That way we all can be in agreement that the lord will give you favor with them and he will give you the words to say. With god all things are possible. I’m not trying to preach to you but I know you beleive, Thats how I know I could talk with you like this. Who is your cell phone carrier? You get free incoming calls? Take care of yourself hun.

*hugs* That woman should know which questions to ask and which not to. That’s kinda rude of her to ask that question…you’re a mother and you need to take care of you daughter…even when you’re in agonizing pain! I hope things work out! Take care. Cora

*hugs*

*hugs* Glad to hear you’re ok. Wish I could do something about the pain though. I can’t imagine how tiring it is to be in constant pain. I mean even with my Crohns and all, it’s not constant.

My Short Term Disability claims people are sending me back to my old neurologist I used to use. Appt is Tues. This guy never wanted me to return to work in the first place. And the STD people think he’s going to help me in getting off STD? I have a feeling, with the back pain, the worsening lumbar spine, and the combined Lupus, I’ll be on LTD instead. Such idiots. This whole thing is nothing short

of sticky red tape. Isn’t it?

Those disability people are always looking for “something” to justify denying a claim. Yet others manage to get money illegally and no one seems to be able to stop it. I worry about our government.

Sorry to hear of your physical troubles. Have a great day in spite of it all

I am sorry you have such a bad time with the disability application. Check your cellphone company though, free incoming calls are usually only from home area only and not long distance.
