Quack Quack QuackEDIT
We have a duck.
No we did not go out and purchase one. It just showed up in our yard. Well the neighbor’s yard first – then she moved to our yard.
She is a cutie. I looked her up on the internet and she is a moscovy duck. I took photos of her but they are still on the camera so here is one from the net.
I have been able to pet her, scratch her neck and I even picked her up twice. 🙂
I hope she decides to stay in our neighborhood. I miss the guinea hen that made itself at home. It made our neighborhood unique.
EDIT: My sister and I always called these ducks – Turkey Ducks because of the nubly skin on their face and necks!
OK off to play with Autumn (don’t worry – I washed my hands!)
First entry for today Yes the Autumn entry is still on the way – I have not taken the time yet to work on the photos. sigh.

Ohhh Moscovys! They are all over Florida. If you look back at some of my old entries you will see Moscovy babies. Do a diary search for ducks. heheh 🙂 Working on Keppra now.

Aw I love duckies!

hehe cute. I wish we had a duck living in our garden. As opposed to the random cat which likes to meow non-stop.

Yep… those males have it worse. hehehe Hey – I wanna email ya. Where to?

We must take a trip down to see your duck… Greg would have a ball! He giggles at every animal he sees! Such a ham! 🙂

Email on the way!

She’s purrrtttyy. We have a pair of Mallards that wander around out property. 🙂

🙂 Some animals do make a neighborhood unique/quaint (rather have a duck, then say, a bear, though). We have a family of bunnies under our back patio. 😉

RYN: I’m actually going to the beach tomorrow weather permitting. Me and my new bathingsuit are going to Cocoa beach because I have never been there. Maybe another time. I’m actually looking forward to enjoying the beach alone. 🙂

How fun! Your neighborhood will have a mascot. Once a long time ago a wild turkey adopted us for the winter. It was an unique experience, LOL.
Warning Comment
Oh, no no no! Don’t touch it! Icky.. LOL..I have a fear of birds. And disease.

Oh yah?! Well… we … we found a TURTLE in our neighborhood. Actually, it was in Mikey’s back yard, but we’re over here all the time anyways, so it might as well be our neighborhood. Alright, take care and yay for ducks!!

want some more? These are the ducks living at our apartment complex… the management just sent out a nasty letter telling people not to feed them because they want them to go away – there are more ducks living here than people because they keep on breeding yearround! (huggles)

There use to be tons of ducks and geese at our first apartment in Indy.. really nice to see that sort of thing.. made me feel.. earthy.

RYN: Thank you!

We have ducks all over the place here as I live on the bay. I mean, we have to stop and allow the entire family cross the road with little furry waddling chicks in tow…quite slow I might add…as they are residents among us. Hubby feeds them our popcorn. But there are close to a hundred or more that live on the complex here.

Duck soup anyone? LOL
