Lemon Chicken Scalopini

That is all I wanted.

It had been on my mind all week long. MMMM

TGI Friday’s Lemon Chicken Scalopini.

I could taste the lemon caper sauce with the bacon and mushrooms over the angel hair pasta before I even walked into the restaurant.

No appetizers for me. Nope – my mind was set on one thing.

Mouth watering, I placed my order and waited in anticipation.

20 minutes later the waitress comes over to the table and announces they are out of Lemon Chicken Scalopini.

NO NO NO I cry.

“Would I be interested in anything else?” She asks.

“NO,” I respond, tears rolling down my cheeks, “nothing else is appetizing. Can’t you send someone to the Winn-Dixie down the street?”

The manager comes to the table and tries to talk me into chicken bruchetta pasta. NO! All I wanted was lemon chicken scalopini. I settle for mozzarella sticks – I pick the breading off and do not even dip in the marinara.

I go home unsatisfied.

Hmmm cravings *grin* exciting isn’t it? xxx

I HATE when that happens at a restaurant! If I want to be disappointed by dinner – I’ll cook it myself!!
