Cats, Sigh – Follow-up

Ok I picked Pid up from the vet at 5pm. They checked her out and said her urine had a small bit of blood in it, but the Ph was fine. Well it sure looked like a whole lot more than a little bit of blood to me.

All in all she was in pretty good health. They said to make sure she drinks plenty of water and if she does not get any better in a few days then to call them back.

They also gave her distemper and rabies shots. She had an allergic reaction, which she has never had before, and promptly threw up as soon as they gave her the shot. At that time they had to give her some Benadryl. They told me to keep an eye on her and if she started throwing up again to go get some children’s Benadryl and give her 4 cc of it. How odd.

Anyway, Pid got her revenge on my on the way home from the vet. No sooner had we pulled out of the parking lot when this horrible odor was filling the car. She made a HUGE turd in her carrier. I was almost sick. I had to drive with the windows down and the air conditioning running at FULL BLAST. Of course it would be raining on my way home so I am getting soaked.

That was not the half of it… she had to lay in it.

i had that happened to my kitty. The worse problem was that I had 2 of them in a large carrier and I had 2 to clean up and it was loose. Arghhhh…what we do for our pets, huh?

I’ve been in that same situation, I think the kitties save it up for just that time. Hope she’s feeling better though 🙂
