At Long Last – the Autumn Entry! **EDITED 2x**

On this first day of Autumn I thought I would finally get my Autumn entry done. So here it is. 🙂

She has been a little weed. Growing and developing right before my eyes!
She is 19 weeks and 1 day old today. Everyone says she is 4 months old but by my counting – next Tuesday will be 20 weeks divided by 4 weeks in a month – she is 5 months old. LOL I know I know – she is really only 4.

I already told you all this but I am going to say it again since I think it was in the entries that disappeared – at her 4 month check up this month she had 4 shots. 🙁 She weighed 13.1lbs and was 24.5″ long.

I spoke with the nurse practitioner about her fussiness, drooling, her wanting to eat constantly and her sudden sleep habit change to waking up 4 times a night when she was waking only once. She said it is a combo of a couple things. First, she is in the beginnings of teething and that sometimes hurts babies more than actually cutting the teeth. Second, she is probably in a growth spurt and her nutritional needs are changing.

She told me to give her baby Tylenol when she was feverish and to make sure I had things for her to chew on for the teething and for the feeding part – to start her on some rice cereal and fruit. NOT in a bottle.

So that is what I am doing. Not a replacement meal-but in addition to the breast feeding and only at one meal a day – the evening one. Rice Cereal was first. She did not like it very well. So then I tried bananas. WE HAVE A WINNER! Then I snuck the rice cereal (mixed with breast milk) into the bananas! Sneaky-sneaky! We have fed her that for a week now and so today she got to try avocados. She is not too sure about those yet.

I just love baby feet. Not only do I love baby feet, but Autumn, well she loves her feet! Not only does she hold them constantly – but she bangs them on the mattress of her crib before she falls asleep. This baby has got some rhythm!

I have had pen pals in Japan for many years. One though, has become like a sister to me even though we have never met. I had known her before she met and married her wonderful husband, and this past September she had a beautiful baby girl. I will call my friend ngDaisy. Well Aunt ngDaisy sent this beautiful outfit for Autumn. I love it so much. I think I will get it framed when she cannot wear it anymore! LOL

Second entry for today – boy I just made it before Midnight! So it is still the first day of Autumn! WOOT

2nd Edit – I adujusted the picture size of the kimono outfit and added some space. I guess when I set the entry up I did not take into consideration people who do not have the papyrus font or have their screen size settings smaller than 1024X768. I hope it is better now.
