GF Update

I’m staying with it. Haven’t lost any more weight. That’s not too surprising given that I’m still on prednisone. But I haven’t gained either.

Still have IBS issues. Metamucil doesn’t seem to be the answer.

Going to stick with GF because I know it’s good for me, if for nothing else that reducing inflammation.

I have had GF pizza from both Domino’s and Donato’s. Both were quite good. Could only get small from Domino’s and was $5 extra. I could get medium from Donato’s, which was nice so I could have leftovers. It cost extra, but in the long run seemed worth it for me.

I have decided so far to not go down the route of substituting GF flours for wheat, barley, and rye.

Nelson called from Kroger’s where he was shopping today to tell me that they had several GF options: brownie mix; Bisquick; cake mix (yellow and chocolate); and several kinds of flours. I’m not going to run out and fill my pantry–because I wasn’t eating those in an effort to lose weight. It is good to know that for special occasions that there are options.

I have had a little more energy and have been spending it outside playing with Asher and taking the dogs on short walks.

So as I see it: it’s all good!
