End of the month?
I feel like I blinked and someone took April.
The first weekend I spoke at the District Women’s Retreat. It was beyond awesome. They were definitely one of the easiest groups I’ve ever spoken to.
The next weekend I went to Jacksonville for my sister’s wedding. It was a wonderful time. I got to stand in the ocean. I had a couple fun conversations with my nephew. He’s grown into such a fine young man. I had fun with family. The wedding was sweet. I left happy and actually sad to be going.
The next weekend was just full of stuff. Not bad just full.
This past weekend we had a koinonia weekend. I was the spirtual director and Nelson ended giving a talk. He said he couldn’t but the woman who he thought was going to give it became ill so he was asked and couldn’t say no. He shared his spiritual journey and it was really so special for him to share his perspective on our struggles. He touched so many people.
And today I was back to work. I’ve done some writing. Sent some things into a contest. I think another one of my devotions was picked up by “The Secret Place.” I’m going to have my book critiqued at Writer’s Conference (May 19-23).
It’s going to be interesting conference this year. I thought I was going to fly, but we missed the cheap tickets and then there aren’t any flights home when I need them. So I’m going to catch a ride with some women from down by Dayton. I’ve never met them. I’m also going to be sharing a room with someone I’ve never met. Good thing I’m a flexible extrovert. I’m just going to look on it as an adventure!
I’m starting a new series in our Sunday school class. They wanted to study a book of the Bible, so I suggested Ephesians. I’m not only going to teach it but Heidi and I are going to work on the translation from the Greek at the same time. Wonder if I could get someone kind of book out it? Hmmmm?
Now I’m going to finish making dinner.
Oh, Nelson is good. He was on light duty at work for three weeks. He still has twinges of pain but feels that he’s at 98% back! I’m grateful.

Goodness you had a busy April! It flew by for me too, but that was just because we spent so much of it in the hospital! So glad to hear that Nelson is doing better. Oh, and that he ended up giving the talk on his spiritual journey after all! Hugs,M
