Writing and researching. It’s on folks. I have to have a blurb (think back of the book hook), 1000 word synopsis, and first chapter done by 7/20. Blurb and synopsis roughed out and started on chapter.

Theme is hope. Contest is here: http://www.writeintegrity.blogspot.com/2012/06/new-writing-contest-announcements.html

I’m using the story of the Prodigal Son as the vehicle for my message. I have had this book inside me since I was 10…it’s about time to write it. 🙂

Hot here. Yesterday I inflated and filled Asher’s big slide/pool. Looks like this: http://trus.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/pTRU1-12093854reg.jpg

He had a blast and I ended up moving my chair alongside and putting my feet in. Our biggest complaint is that at the end of the day, when you deflate the thing the water just spills out into the yard. Well, I got this brilliant idea that I was going to take the water by buckets to water the garden and flowers around the house. That’s a lot of buckets, let me tell you. And my shoulders are telling me this morning. Aleve don’t fail me now!

Well, much to do today. And then tonight is the balloon glow for our annual balloon fest–my presence has been required by the red haired wonder child. No rest for me.

Drink a glass of something cold, put the glass to your forhead and feel the chill. Hoping you have a gentle breeze in your day! Out.

Hope is a good theme! When my daughter saw that huge ball of fire rushing down the mountain, she called and told me there was no hope… they would be losing their house — I just kept telling her, no, have hope… never lose hope! I know it could have happened the other way, but it is best to keep hope in all things, along with humility! 🙂

When I was going through my divorce, I had the word “hope” taped near my bed so that it was the first thing I would see when I woke up and the last thing I would see before going to sleep 🙂
