What’s new – or in the fryer – at the State Fair of Texas this year:

Awesome Bread Pudding Wrap – wrapped in tortilla with rum sauce and fried
Chicken Tender’n Biscuit – fried chicken and biscuit sandwich
Country Fried Pork Chop Sandwich – fried pork chop on onion bread
Fried Apple Taco – fried pastry filled with apples
Fried Coconut Coated Pineapple Rings – fried pineapple in coconut batter
Fried Italian Meatballs – fried meatballs rolled in breadcrumbs

Fried PBJ and Banana Sandwich – sandwich is battered, fried and dusted with sugar
Going Bananas – various dishes, including banana splits and pudding
Nutter Nana Sandwich – banana filling between Nutter Butter cookies, battered and fried
Potato Crisps – potato spirals fried with vanilla and sugar
Stuffed Baked Plantains – with peanut butter, spices and marshmallows

Sweet Potato Fries – with cheese, brown sugar, cayenne pepper and bacon
