Weigh Day: What’s going on?
I lost 5.4 lbs this week. I really wish my body would stick to a normal pattern…is that too much to ask for? Not that I’m complaining about the loss, but I’d rather lose smaller amounts consistently than have questionable gains followed by ridiculous losses.
The drop helped me reach my Christmas goal of 259 lbs and I received my 145 lb star. The original goal was to see 150 lbs lost by New Years and I’m sticking to it…my body is too unpredictable to expect anything before then.
On a sad note, my dog Bentley suffered two seizures on Tuesday night. I spent 2 hours at the emergency animal hospital and they ended up keeping him for observation. He didn’t have additional seizures, but his bloodwork confirmed epilepsy. I’m taking him to his regular vet today for a complete exam. Please keep my little schnauzer in your thoughts…don’t know what I’d do without him…
Hope everyone is having a great week…

I’m sorry to hear about your dog. I’m glad the 60’s are gone, though. I think that sometimes our bodies freak out a bit and get stubborn, but eventually they give it up. And you have to include the whole pms/water retention thing, too.

Oh no! I am sending B tons of wamr vibes. It’s sad when a dog gets sick. Let’s hope he will just need some medication and some special long-term care, but will be alright otherwise. Congratulations on hitting 259! And it came at such a good time for you–at the height of your frustration of being in the 260’s. I am using you as my inspiration.

Question: Do you know approx. how many calories you are consuming per day? Obviously you focus on points, but did you ever get curious about calories? Also, do give any special attention to lessening carb and sugar intake and eating more protein–the popular eating regime these days?

Great loss. Bentley, swet pooch, I hope he’ll be okay and that his epilepsy is treatable!

Congrats on crossing in 250’s. Sorry to hear about your dog, Bentley… I wish him a speedy recovery. Sometimes, people don’t realize that a pet can be just as important or more so than human. Pets are always there when you need them and they don’t speak English so they can’t rat you out (smile).
