Weigh Day: Letter to the TRI Council
Dear Fitness Sirs and Madams:
After all of the intense workouts, sensible eating, and a great showing at the Danskin, how is a 2.8 lb gain justified? While I understand body fluctuations and scale readings will always be clear as mud, this is bullshit (or horseshit, as they say in these parts). I am disappointed with today’s results, but I will not let it ruin my post-Danskin glow. With that said, prepare for war.

Thanks for all of the wonderful notes/emails about Danskin. I’d recommend the event to all women, regardless of fitness level. If you’re new to all 3 areas, grab a couple of friends and enter as a team. Being part of a relay team gave me a chance to see exactly what happens during a sprint triathlon. When I fly solo next year, I know what to expect and how to prepare. Add it to your list of things to conquer in this lifetime. “Finish a triathlon” is on my list between “Lose 100 lbs” and “Marry Vin Diesel”. LOL

don’t sweat the small stuff. you’ll have a 4 lb loss or more next week; it’s only water. I have no doubts you’ll be rewarded next week!

I wasnt that strict this week, I didnt journal and I ate something sweet everyday, but I did work out 5x and I lost 1.6. I also drank about 32oz of water before I weighed in. Weird eh?

i meant to tell you!!…the woman in my meeting that hit her 101 on last Sunday may contact you. i asked if she might give you a digital copy of her before and current pics…SERIOUS inspiration!! of course, if i had thought it through i would have just ask if i could have a copy and then posted it on my website.
