Weigh Day: Are we ever satisfied?
Work has been hellish lately, so I took a much needed Courtney Day. I had to fight the urge to leave “Bitches & Bastards: I am taking a fucking day off, so deal with it. Holla!” as my out of office email message.
Back to my lovely day, I woke up in a pissy mood. What the hell? I finally get a mental break from the normal routine and I start things off badly. The cause of my sour demeanor? My body. Ugh. 85% of the time I see my figure as potential Coca Cola bottle svelteness. However, the remaining part of the body image (lowfat) pie is a dark place. I am SO tired of my Buddha Belly. I hate it. I weigh 236 lbs and my waist is 46″…that is just wrong. My legs are toned and if I lose anymore weight on the top, I’m going to make the cover of Crackwhore mag. Ok, rant is over. Tell the kiddies it’s ok to come back in.
On to good news, I lost 1.4 this week and that makes a total of 170 lbs gone! The countdown to Onederland is on, baby. I have been mentally planning my 200 lbs lost party for months. Today my friend LW informed me that he wants to handle the party and foot the bill. Cool, cool. Motivation.
The Danskin TRI is this weekend and the Divas are ready to roll. I was hoping for a loss this week to help me stay on track while in Austin. The cheap drinks on 6th street will knock you out. Thanks to everyone for the TRI good luck vibes. We head out Friday and I’ll post pictures on Monday (assuming I wasn’t hospitalized for heat exhaustion. LOL)

Everytime I actually SEE the numbers I’m flabergasted (you like that word, you know you do)… I am the same way about my body – I’m also a bit wider around the middle – ahh, well. GOod luck this weekend!

RYN: I totally hear you, but actually I have ALWAYS had a big belly. Partly because I have a kidney disease and partly because I carry heavy around my middle. I’ve always hated it – even when I was thinner I had to wear pants a size biger on my belly then I needed on my legs.

I have the same shape as you.. I’m not the picture of Sir Mix A Lot’s “Baby Got Back.” I’d like to transfer some of my gut into my ass.. or my boobs. Actually, I’d just like to transfer my gut to a skinny waif-like one who eats whatever she wants and doesn’t gain weight.. or eats like mad and ::gasp:: loses weight. Have a great time at the Triathalon! And kudos for the 170 lbs. lost!

you always impress me with your frankness, motivation, and will power. i think that either your mid section is something you are going to have to come to terms with or do something about (surgery?) i know that my mid section bothers me because since i had my babies, it is flabby and stretched out — it has never looked like that. i still need to accept it or do something too..

WooHoo! Jenny Craig has been working for me. I’ll go back to WW (do both at the same time) when I’m 20 lbs or so from goal. I figure doing both at once will make maintenance easier.
