Valentine Redux

V-Day started a bit strange (honestly, all of my Valentine’s Days are strange…for one reason or another). I woke up to fresh snow. The local weather gal said it would…but who trusts meterologists in Texas? I had no desire to share the road with freaked out Texans that couldn’t cope, so I bundled up and walked to my apartment complex gym at 7am. Afterwards, I let Braxton out to experience his first snow. He was so cute…

Also have to share this one…the little shit has already learned how to ask for food. This isn’t even his bowl! Just a tupperware container I dropped in the kitchen.

Moving on…I let Trey take me to lunch yesterday (I know that makes me sound like an überbitch, but that’s just how it is…) Of course, he wanted dinner…but I figured lunch would make sure there wasn’t a sappy, romantic vibe. He’s a great guy, but I’m not looking for anything but friendship with him. The lunch conversation was bit strained, but what can ya do? I’m not going to force myself to like someone. I’m not that hard up for male companionship. Mr. T hugged me a little too long at the end, but I managed to escape without a guilt trip.

Later that afternoon, I took my Mom and brother to see Barbershop 2. I swear it was mo’ funny the second time around. The theater was relatively packed considering the fat snowflakes.

TheLassThatLost was in town, so we had dinner at Humperdink’s last night. I haven’t seen her since she moved to Chi-town, so it was nice to visit.

So…that’s my V-Day wrap-up. No love connection…but I did spend time with people I care about…and that has to count for something, right? 🙂

Just returned from Godiva’s spinning class. She kicked our asses today…and reminded us to think about the workout before eating junk. :::Putting down the heart-shaped chocolates:::

Today I’m making stops at Barnes & Nobles for a few must-reads, pet store to get Braxton a leash (and some Ritalin), and LB to use a coupon that’s been burning a hole in my pocket.

Hope everyone has a wonderful, relaxing Sunday…

So did you buy anything at Barnes and Noble?

Braxton is too cute. Lunch w/ Trey…interesting, very interesting and the fact that you’re not that interested is just going to make him more interested. You do know that, right? I love men but they are so backward that way. I hope you had a great weekend!

Braxton has it all going on…nice “do”, good social manners, party tricks. What a date!

so has your dog found shoes yet? My friend had a dog who would eat one of every pair left on the floor

The puppy is too cute. Glad to see Mother Nature is sharing the wealth with the snow and not sending ALL of it to us. I’m getting so sick of dirty, half-melted snowbanks. EWW!!!!!!

He is so cute 🙂
