Retail Therapy…

Please forgive the lack of entries. I haven’t been feeling like myself lately and certain things have been put on hold. Work is stressful beyond belief. We’re understaffed from the cuts made in 2003 and its killing us now. Still waiting on the FTC to approve the buyout and I’m counting the days. I feel the acquisition will help my office tremendously.

My workouts are great…eating has been less than perfect. No major moves in the scale yet, but I know it will catch up to me, so I’m going to nip it in the bud now. Mexico is less than 3 weeks away. I’ll have plenty of time to relax, so I need to keep my ass in gear for now, eh?

Went shopping with a couple of friends yesterday. We met at the Galleria and did some serious retail therapy. MAC*, Sephora, Aveda, The Body Shop…even GNC wasn’t safe. Could I afford the splurge? No. Did I need the (nonedible) treats? Absolutely. The only negative was discovering that my usual MAC store no longer carries the foundation I use. So…I now have to drive an additional 15 minutes to another location.

*I know the MAC junkies will want a specific purchase list. LOL We’re just sick like that. I picked up Lipglass (Shock-O-Late), Satin Lipstick (Film Noir), Studio Finish concealer (NC45), and nail lacquer (Molasses).

Sephora visits are always fun. Chesty picked up some Duwop lip venom and the stuff actually works! I’m sure they add some crazy root in it (that we’ll later learn is harmful), but her lips plumped up in a matter of minutes. LOL

We all tried Jessica Simpson’s new Dessert line. I liked everything and it really does taste good. Before you ask, I don’t know what the point value is on any of her body products, so I suggest getting in some serious sexercise to burn them off. :p

Well…that’s it for now. I initially took today off for the MS 150. We passed on the ride, but I kept my day. I needed it. Going to look for bathing suits…and possibly take a spinning class later this afternoon. Hope everyone has a tolerable Monday…

The MAC counter at Dillard’s – NorthPark is pretty full most of the time. That’s where I shop for MAC, just FYI :o)

C – glad to see your post and know you are doing alright. A non-edible treat is always great therapy! Sounds like you and Chesty had a blast. I know I am reading for some shopping myself…maybe next month. Take Care JC-Ft Worth

Miss ya girl! I hope all calms down for you in time. 🙂

Girl it is LIP GLASS in OH BABY for me and I also wear Film Noir that is funny! Tontoy

Here in VT we have sad shopping facilities, so I was just in CA and dropped serious coin. I thought my head would explode from too many choices. I went to Sephora 3 different times! The new Viva Glam V lipglass is amazing. Take care – hope you feel more like the diva soon 🙂

Glad to see a new entry from you. BTW, LOVED the chicken link. All my coworkers got a real kick out of it. I would love to do a study–how many commands does the average person give before asking him to do something “naughty?”
