Oh Dear…

I can’t believe I posted an entry about sexual calorie expenditure before Lent. Oh well…that’s the best time to do your sinnin’, right? BEFORE Lent…hence the reason that Fat Tuesday falls before Ash Wednesday…pretty convenient, eh?

So…I went to get my ashes today. What am I abstaining from during Lent? I’ve decided on alcohol, fried foods, and sweets (candy/ice cream have magically appeared in my house several times during the last few months). I’ve also decided to decrease the swearing and be less critical of others. [Editor’s Note: If someone crosses a line, they will be dealt with on the Monday following Easter…LOL] Seriously, I feel that working on these particular areas will help me improve mentally and physically.

Yankee or Dixie? Even after all of these years in the Dirty South, I am still an obvious Yank…thank goodness. LOL

An update on the success story thing…

The paperwork is filled out…all I’m lacking is a current picture to submit with my before photo. I’ll take a full-length pic this weekend. Next week I’m supposed to talk to the PR manager from our region to discuss further details. WW gets to decide if my story ends up in a local publication, national magazine or television. TV?!? I’m holding out for Oprah. JennDiva and I will get our O time to shine…and then we can do the other programs. A girl can dream, right? 🙂 Anyway…that’s it for now. I’ll keep you posted on the WW feature. Hopefully it’s positive, quick, and painless.
