July Goals
Well, it’s time to kick June to the curb and focus on a new month with new goals/motivation.
1. Continue to do at least 200 minutes of cardio per week and begin weight training program. After months of putting it off, I’m finally going to add weight training to the mix. I’m honestly not looking forward to it. People tell me that once I get started, I’ll be addicted. Uh huh…we’ll see. 😉
2. H2O! H2O! I already drink a decent amount of water (12-15 glasses daily), but I’m going to add an additional 8oz due to the TEXAS HEAT. I have the impressive ability to retain water like a bloated camel, so H2O has to be my friend this summer.
3. Stay focused on the Muscletech Challenge. We officially begin our challenges tomorrow…and the dreaded before pics will be taken today. I am soooo not looking forward to taking photos in a sports bra and shorts. I’d share them, but I just like you all too much. 🙂
4. Begin Danskin triathlon training. This event is so important to me and I am truly focused. LOL I’m just wondering how I managed to leap from the desire to take tap classes this summer to training for a TRIATHLON?!?!? Crazy heifer.
5. Pounds lost goal: 8 I’m not really concerned about this goal. I have so many other areas to focus on…and I know the weight will drop. However, I always set a desired weight loss goal in every challenge, so here it is: 8 lbs in 5 weeks…lofty goal, but it will put me in the 260s…and I’m loving that idea. 🙂
What are YOUR goals for July?
My goals for July are simple: stay on the same track!One thing I can say, both from personal experience and second-hand knowledge is: you may actually gain a couple pounds when you start weight training. Whatever you do, stay focused! It’s 100% true that it is some extra muscle and it will, in turn, burn more fat. 🙂
