Happenings…
Friday night was Chesty’s 26th birthday bash. A good time was had by all. The party girl needed a few drinks to forget that she is now closer to 30 than 20…eeek!
Saturday I went to Houston with Roxie and Chesty. We took advantage of my free stay at the Sam Houston Hotel (very nice!) and did a little shopping. We met up with DonnaInDallas for dinner (surely the mexican meal will be gone by Wednesday, right?!?)
My mom is doing a great job with her bootleg version of WW (she said she’d rather stab herself repeatedly with a fork than attend meetings…LOL). She’s lost 23 lbs since the beginning of the year. Hooray for mommy!
I think I’ve decided on a dress for my brother’s end of the year banquet. The dress calls for “Sunday” clothes. Now, I’m Catholic, so that could be anything from khaki pants (watching the southern Baptists’ jaws drop) to fancy schmancy. I’m going to be nice and appropriate in a dress. No need to rage against the machine at a church university, right? I’ve decided on a dress from Kiyonna. With the right purse and necklace (and shaper devices), it will be perfect, don’t you think?
Crazy Travel Request of the Day:
A client called in today and didn’t understand why she’d have to take hopper flights while visiting the islands of Hawaii. “I prefer to rent a car…”
I’ve been so busy lately I haven’t had a chance to watch AI. Does Ruben still have a voice like honey? 🙂
Just found out that one of my WW buddies won a Mercedes Benz ML350 in a radio/dealership contest! You go, girl! I am TOO jealous…but still happy for ya. :p

tell me that travel person REALLY didn’t say that. i mean, i guess anyone could forget for a minute that they are on an island, but that got recorded somewhere didn’t it? as in “your call me be recorded for training purposes…” ya know, that really sounds like something i’d say.

I find that many southern baptist churches have a very relaxed dress code. In fact I wear cargo pants to my church (southern baptist) and they’re olive green and WORSE than khakis. I don’t think anyone cares, the purpose there is to worship God, not to critique clothes! Congrats to your mom, I’m so jealous. I can’t lose anything lately. I know when I get walking I will though!! Pretty dress too!
