Change of Plans
Ok, I was in a New York state of mind, but the trip plans have been revamped a bit. The original plan was to head up in early March. However, one of my travel buddies has recently discovered that she’s expecting (LOL I think Chesty and I are the only ones that aren’t prego…*knock on wood/lighting a candle/saying a prayer*) and her high risk status will prevent her from flying. Adding in the realization that we don’t want to vacation in cold weather…NYC will have to wait. I still have my prized photos from my last trip to the Big Apple. For those of you that don’t know, I went to NYC in August 2001. My photos of the skyline were taken on 8/11/01…exactly a month before our lives changed forever. That trip will always be special.
Back to the travel update, the group has decided to take a road trip in March (to accommodate the little Mommy). We all had the vacation days off from work, so might as well use them, right? Destination is undecided at this point, but I’ll keep you posted.
Now to the bigger news…
Since NYC is postponed, I’ve decided to use my agent tickets for Cozumel in May! We’ll be staying for 5 days at the Grand Cozumel Resort. I’m getting an unbelievably low travel agent rate and Chesty and I will be flying for free. Sometimes I love my job. LOL Anyway, the vacation days are scheduled and the tickets have been issued, so it’s a done deal. I’m so excited. I haven’t been to Mexico since high school. Our little trips are always fun, but I need to be on the beach. How is that for weight loss motivation? I have 3 months to get Super Brickhouse Supreme. No pressure… :p A couple of my crazy coworkers have made plans to join us, so it should be an interesting trip.
More news…
I mentioned that our social committee received tickets from the Big Boss as a thank you for working on the Holiday Party. Well, I’ve decided to use those for a birthday trip to Chicago (September). After 3 years of friendship and WW ups/downs, I will finally get to meet Jenn face-to-face! We’ll go to Six Flags, shop, hit the nightlife, and break into Harpo Studios. LOL We’re determined to meet Oprah (and have her brag about our weight loss on camera). If Jenn and I are both at goal, we will have lost over 360 lbs total. That deserves a little star treatment, eh? 🙂 Damn, it would be nice to see goal by my 27th birthday.
Well…that’s it for the travel update. Imagine that…the travel agent is going on a couple of trips. Special thanks to AA for coughing up agent tickets again. The post-9/11 dry spell was rough…but things are looking up.
Until next time…

P.S. The L situation hasn’t been resolved yet. Her car is still missing and I haven’t heard anything about the fingerprint report. Thanks for the concern…
Wow!! I envy you! I will be making my first West side appearance in a few weeks. Smooches…

The anticipation of trips is half the fun! You have a lot to look forward too. And, that is the best motivation for weight loss. Your life looks good.
