Hey Family!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. I feel GREAT today. I’ve had several sleepless nights lately and finally got some much needed rest last night. Special shout-out to my homie Tylenol PM. Ok, why didn’t anyone tell me how strong this stuff is? I woke up feeling like I was coming out of anesthesia. It took me about an hour to snap out of it and now I’m bouncing off the walls. Maybe I’m just a wimp? A friend of mine takes vicodin like candy and she offered me some after my car accident. No thanks. The last time I took something heavy (Darvocet for heinous cramps), I slept through an entire weekend. Seriously…I took the shit on Friday night and woke up Sunday morning thinking it was Saturday. Such a rookie…

Work is getting a little better. We’ve started our summer slump (thank Jesus), so we should have some peace until August. The activities committee is in full swing. We’re having a car wash next month…upper management will be doing the dirty deed, so it’s guaranteed to bring in some nice cash. Our annual food drive for Irving Cares will be in August and I’m hoping we top last year’s contribution (although 1800 lbs of food isn’t too shabby for an office our size).

Fitness is fine and dandy. The Katy Flatland Race is exactly 3 weeks away and I’m actually scared. The Tri-Divas are doing the 30-mile course (not a big deal) and the route is totally flat (big deal). Yes, flat means no major inclines…but it also means no downhills. I *heart* downhills.
We can do this…we WILL do this…and we’ll brag afterwards…a lot.   

Travel Stuff. I’ve added 2 very important trips to my 2006 list! Chesty and I will be taking The Little Prince to Sea World (San Antonio) in August. He’s looking forward to it, so I plan to spoil him rotten. It will be his last fun blast before 1st grade starts. In November, C& I are heading to Arkansas to help Cat celebrate her birthday! I’m excited because I’ll finally get to meet Cat & Kat in person. We’ve been ODBFFs for awhile, so it will be a trip to finally see them face to face. Plans are still in the works, but I’ve been told that Graceland will be involved. Do they let Black folks into Graceland? They should…especially since Elvis stole his sound from us. hahaha

Addiction. I thought I was making progress with my product addiction until I dropped $50 at B&BW. Damn their semi-annual sale! I’m set with body wash/lotion for a looooooooong time. You have to check out their new Temptations line. The Tropical Colada smells good enough to drink.

Random Eye Candy. Meet Patrick Kodjoe, brother of Boris. He’s not as fine as B, but he’ll do. I’d definitely give him an 8 on the lickable scale. What do you think?

Well, that’s all for now. I’ll be heading to spin class in a couple of hours to get my sweat on. Afterwards, I need to straighten up the bachelorette pad. Red is coming over tonight to watch Entourage and Tourgasm.
