picture talk
As I type this I am also prepping my gear (and my attitude/ideas) for a senior portrait shoot I have later this afternoon. It’s a "freebie" for my brother’s girlfriend, because I don’t have many senior portraits on my portfolio, and just because she’s practically my sister. I have no idea yet where we’ll be going to do the portraits; she hasn’t given me any suggestions for what she wants. If she wants something kind of outdoorsy, then we should be able to stay fairly close to home and/or near my mom’s house.
I’d LOVE to find someone around this area with some nice old barns and grass fields they would mind me using every now and then. I know there are plenty of them around, I just can’t seem to get hooked up with owners. I just love old barns with peeling red paint, and they’re perfect portrait backdrops.
Don’t know if I talked about this in an earlier entry, but I’m also thinking about doing a portrait session giveaway. Just something to add to my portfolio and hopefully spread a little word of mouth advertising. It won’t be identical to the sessions I do now, because I won’t just give away the disc, but I’ll include a few free prints.
Lol. Chloe just handed me her cheese sandwich. "Mommy, I don’t like shandwiches (yes, she does). You eat this, okay?" It’s so funny how she says it. That kid cracks me up on a daily basis. I really need to get some new pics taken of both the kids. I have exactly zero portraits of the kids hanging on my walls (mostly just because I hate my walls), but I need photos of the kids hanging up.
Speaking of photos….I don’t remember if I posted these last year when I took them, but I just recently ordered cheapy Kokak print versions of them for scrapbooking, and I just fell in love with them all over again. And they’re all SOOC! I think I may run them through photoshop to fine tune them, and I’d like to order either a set of 8x10s or perhaps a canvas of one of them.
Isn’t he the cutest thing ever? I could never get him to sit still for pictures like that now, but this was in the pre-crawling days. Oh, how I miss those! Lol.
