photo shoot sneak peek
I’m still in the middle of slogging through all the images from the shoot, but I thought I’d post a few to get some initial impressions from you guys.
Be honest, please. Be brutally honest, if you like, because I can take the criticism, and I can’t improve if I don’t get it. But no flames. Or I’ll kick you. 😛
I’m still not sure if I’m happy with the second one. I’m going to sit on it a few days before I finish it off. But, it looks immensely more presentable than it did before I photoshopped it. You can see what I meant about the brutal sunlight.
The first and the third are really good! The second I think is just a little too blown to salvage, maybe with a B&W conversion…? I like what you’ve got here though, good job!!

I really like the first one, it looks very professional.. the second one looks like a normal pictures with the sun exposure and things like that, maybe try B&W? I’m not sure because I’m a terrible photographer lol.. but I really like the first one

I really like the first one… The sunlight in the second is a little bit too much… And the third one is a bit splotchey… Im not a photographer or anything though…so dont take my work for it!

I like the first and third. Not second. It seems as though you we’re trying to take a picture of HER, and he jumped in the shot. I know that’s not the case, but it seems like he is jumping in LOL I love the Sephia tone on the last one..The first one, they are embracing, so it’s cute. They are BEAUTIFUL though!

I like the first one best. I think you should lighten her face if you can so it won’t be lost to the bright spot of light on the wall and the bright light in the trees around her. Post more!

I love the third one!

Too bad about the sunlight, I think you did good with what you had, though. I really like the last one – the looks on their faces are so cute and I while I normally hate sepia editing, it looks good for that pic.

I really like the first one — the pose & composition is excellent. I like the second one too, but I see what you meant about the sunlight in that one. I’ve heard sometimes a way to fix that is to make it black & white, but I don’t know if that would work with that particular photo.

question: Do you use fill flash at all?
Warning Comment
A man who took farm photos for an area newspaper said he took naps midday because the light was too intense for good photos. I think of that sometimes myself. Early morning or late afternoon are usually better. Still I realize you have to deal with what you have to work with – and these are lovely photos. Interesting people. (I just found you on front page and am reading back. I take picturevery casually and am not good with people AT ALL.)

i’d buy the thrid one. maybe the first.
