photo scavenger hunt
I’ve been looking for a reason to get out and do more personal photography. Lately I’ve been concentrating so much on taking and editing other people’s photos that I’ve barely taken any of the kids or anything just for me. So I was glad to find the Photo Scavenger Hunt this morning on the boards.
I like the idea of having to find random things and take pictures of them. Even more to the point, I think trying to make those random things looks aesthetically pleasing is going to be a challenge. And this is a smaller project, unlike a 365, so it’s a manageable size. I’ve been looking for a smaller project to complete before I take on a 365, and I think this’ll be fun. I’d post the link to the diary in case anyone else wants to join in, but right clicking is disabled on school computers, so I can’t. Just do an OD search for the diary "photo scavenger" and you’ll find it.
This months clues/prompts are:
cozy
a stranger
an icon of your city
childhood
red and green
pattern or texture
street art
an image that could be a book cover (I think this one is going to be the hardest!)
old
new
shadow or silhouette
language
music
autumn
an animal
a place to contemplate life
something that begins with the letter O
a reflection on water
an interesting perspective
a self portrait
I’m supposed to go out on a mini photography road trip with my friend Courtney sometime this month, as she wants some basic instruction on how to use her DSLR and on taking better pictures, so these clues should give me some inspiration while I’m out.
Yay, photo project! lol.
