lenses.
My rental gear for the wedding arrived in the mail yesterday. One major point of FAIL: the lens arrived with oily fingerprints ALL over the front and back glass.
I was not amused.
AND the speedlight didn’t come with an instruction manual, so I’ve been very much confused with it’s operation thus far. Thankfully, I found a .pdf manual on the net. Still, I most likely will not use the flash for the wedding unless I’m completely comfortable with it before then, and with only three days to go, I doubt that’ll happen.
But, oh, the lens! The thing is a beast. It’s a beast and I love it. I nearly dropped it when I took it out of the box; I wasn’t expecting something so heavy. It’s my new best friend.
Or, it’s my new best friend until Friday. You know, Friday. When my 50mm f/1.4 gets here. 😀
I also picked up a few more photography books. And my clothes for the wedding, from Old Navy. I still need to find shoes, though, and that’s a problem. I hate shoe shopping. I can never find anything that fits, is comfortable and looks good at the same time. I seriously own three pairs of shoes, and two of them are flip flops.
Really, I should have so much more to say with as little as I’ve been writing lately, but for the life of me I can’t think of anything.
