Finished!
I finished it! Chloe’s halter shirt, that is.
Please forgive the bad photography; it’s almost midnight and I wanted to post these in a hurry before I head to bed. I’ll try to get some action shots of her wearing it tomorrow.
The only thing I still need to to is add a large button or flower to the front of the elastic where the ties are sewn in and add some decorative stitching around the hem.
Best thing about this shirt? It also works as a skirt! Or a dress, if I’ve made it long enough.
Also awesome? It only took two hours to make, total. How fantastic is that?!
Thus ends my first adventure in sewing an article of clothing. Not half bad for my first try!
Next adventure: sewing from a pattern!
EDIT:
Chloe wearing her dress. It did turn out to be long enough! 😀
She loves it. I tried it on her and she wouldn’t take it off. And look! You can totally see where her scrambled egg breakfast ended up all over the floor. Lol. Off to find the broom now…
ooh, I like the fabric.

Great job! You have many talents! I’d LOVE To do something like that for my boys… but I’m afraid I am far from any kind of crafty type person haha. Very cute shirt/skirt/dress though!
