back away quietly, and no one gets hurt

Today has been a really crap kind of day.

My car wouldn’t start this morning.  Apparently the frigid temps last night completely murdered my already dying battery and I had to make a 40 mile round trip to drop a hundred bucks on a new one.  I was two hours late for work in the process.

While Aaron’s dropping something off to me at work, he informs me that Jacob’s mom won’t be home until after 8 – meaning that I had to take him home.

So.

I start my drive home after seven hours at work and, wait for it, get stuck in traffic behind a massive one car accident.  (Flames, three fire trucks, the whole shebang – I must have gotten stopped after EMS had already left the scene, as there was no sign of the driver.)  I sat in traffic for thirty minutes before we got moving again.  Then I got to my mom’s, put Jacob in the car, and headed straight back the way I came.  *sigh*

Dropped Jacob off at his mom’s, drove through McDonald’s for dinner (I know, so healthy, right?), put gas back in the car and drove ALL the way home again.

Then I had to wrestle the carseats in the car, wrestle the kids in the car, then come home and put the kids to bed.  Thankfully, they were both tired and went down really easily – the only bright spot in the day.

So then I thought "Hey! I’ll watch some Doctor Who.  That’ll make me feel better!"

I just finished up watching "The Waters of Mars," and now I feel worse because I can’t find this years Christmas special anywhere on the internet, and I’m sad because there’s no more Ten.  No more The Doctor and Rose Tyler.  No more molto bene.  No more of Tennant’s hair.  Oh, god, that hair…..

Yes, I’m far too attached to fictional characters.  And yes, I’m probably hormonal right now.

And I want some ice cream, of which there is none.

Boo.

The End.
