Can anyone else believe that Chloe will be TWO tomorrow?! I certainly can’t! It does not feel like two years since that quiet night I gave birth to her, but when I talk to her, and look at her, I’m amazed at how much she has grown!
She’s my little smarty pants. She counts to twenty, knows her alphabet and her shapes and puts sentences together better than I do sometimes. And her reasoning skills are just mindblowing to me. I’ve got one smart little girl on my hands, and I know she’s going to keep me on my toes for many years to come!
Aaron and I are leaving little brother Ben with Mamaw tomorrow morning so we can take Chloe out for a private birthday breakfast, just the three of us. We aren’t having cake and presents until Saturday afternoon/evening so I wanted to do something special to set the day apart. Plus, with baby brother now here, it’s been several weeks since she’s had Mommy and Daddy all to herself.
So, later on this morning I’m heading to town to order my girl a Tinkerbell birthday cake and pick up her gifts. Beyond an Elmo toddler bed comforter and sheet set, I’m not quite sure what I’m getting her. I would love to find her an electronic educational play laptop of her own (Jacob got one for Christmas), because she always wants to pretend she’s on the computer when I open mine up. I’ll ask her what she doing when she presses random keys on Jacob’s toy computer and she’ll look at me and say, with all seriousness, "Homework, Mommy." I hope I can find one that’s age appropriate for her; most that I’ve seen typically are geared to five year olds.
I’ll also need to stop at Office Depot to pick up some assorted business supplies. I’m hoping to officially launch my Longaberger business this Monday by mailing out and e-mailing announcements and posting to my MySpace blog. I need to pick up a few things to get myself organized, though. I definitely need an organizer/day planner of some sort. I’ve got so many things going on that I need something to help me keep my head on straight. I’m planning to offer some special incentives to the first five people who book a party with me, as a way to encourage hostess sign-up, and I need to be able to keep track of the marketing and product incentive ideas I’ve had.
Me, stay organized? I’m probably deluding myself.
My little guy is starting to squirm and stretch from his position beside me here on the bed, and that’s a sure sign it’s almost breakfast time. Time to start the day!
Breakfast with just mom and dad sounds so cute and awesome 🙂 Happy Birthday to her!

I know how you feel about the birthday thing. My sons 2end birthday was on the 20th…WHERE DID THE TIME GO?!?! It does not help that I just had another son in OCT..Or the fact that my husband missed the entire first year of our sons life and tried to make up for it all year long. I think taking her out with you and daddy is a great idea to make her feel special..good luck!!

We got my son a Fisher Price fun 2 learn laptop ($30 at walmart). He has learned a ton from that little laptop. It helped quite a bit when we were learning letters. Just thought I’d share 🙂

ryn: self timer. I kept saying I was going to buy a remote all last year but I never did, and now that I’m not doing the self portraits as much, I’m not sure if I should or not… I mean, there’s so many other things to buy… *sigh*
