lilypie kids birthday ticker

I really wish there was an "off" switch for the cycle buzzer on my dryer.  I had JUST gotten both kids down for a nap when the stupid thing went off and woke Ben up.  Grr.  Thankfully, a couple of tummy rubs and a paci got him to settle back down.

And I tried really hard today to get them both to sleep within 20 minutes of one another so that nap time for both would be about the same time.   I’ve been trying to get the inserts for my pocket diapers sewn, and that’s a lot easier to do when both kids are asleep.

Speaking of diapers, Ben is officially out of disposables and into his cloth diapers today.    It’s taking me a while to get the hang of the prefolds, but he’s a patient little guy and doesn’t mind me taking ten minutes to change him.  I have the feeling I’m going to like the pockets a lot more, but I’m glad I have both.   Right now I have 11 pockets, with two more on the way, 2 dozen prefolds and about a dozen PF covers, so I think I’m set on the smaller sizes.  I’ll probably have to wait a week to see how the day to day wearing/washing/folding cycle goes before I’m sure, though.

*EDIT* I’ve come to the conclusion that, until my little man stops peeing every five seconds, I’m still going to put him in a disposable at night.  Otherwise, I’m going to lose all the sleep I am getting changing leaky diapers.  lol.  */EDIT*

And back to sewing inserts I go…

Pockets are GREAT once they get older and don’t want to sit still for you. 🙂

I had to use disposables at night or a pocket with extra inserts. My little girl is a heavy wetter at night.
