My day did not begin well. I woke up way too early with the beginnings of a sinus infection, a sore throat, and a plugged duct. It’s like my immune system suddenly decided to go on strike or something.
After making a half-hearted attempt to get up and mingle with the rest of the family, I discovered that Chloe’s morning screechings weren’t doing anything but making my headache worse so I snuggled Ben in bed with me for an attempt at a marathon nursing session to try to resolve the duct issue. We dozed, we nursed, we cuddled, and when I woke up sans headache, we climbed back out of bed at one o’clock.
After a HOT shower and some fresh clothes that didn’t smell like sour milk, I decided to leave Ben with Aaron while I ran to town to take a care of a few errands. I wanted to go, do what I needed, and get back, and that’s not possible with a newborn.
At Walmart I picked up a few microfiber drying towels from the automotive department, as the general consesus goes that these are the best things for making diaper inserts. We’ll see. I also picked up another box of nursing pads. I have a whole stack of cloth nursing pads sandwiched and pinned together and waiting to be sewn, but I just can’t find the time to sew them. Plus, diaper inserts come first.
Ooh, I checked my credit report/credit score yesterday evening. Yikes! Not pretty. But then, I didn’t expect it to be. I’m going to check Aaron’s sometime this week so we can sit down and make a plan on how to clean up our credit as a whole. There’s no way we’re ever going to be able to build or buy a house with a sub-600 credit score.
Yeah, this entry is all over the place. Kinda like my day.
Anyway, Ben’s asleep, and I have to get up early with Chloe, so I’m gonna zonk out now.
