I’m currently in an argument with myself over the pricing structure of my business. I’m not sure which I’d rather do: A) Have a moderate session price and depend on print sales for increased revenue, or B) have a more expensive session price and include image discs with the order, with print sales just being the icing on the cake. I’m leaning toward option B, because I know more people in this area like to have the disc, but I’m not sure if the market will bear a very high session price. That said, some of my competition is charging $150 a session without a disc, and their photography is only marginally better than mine. I’m only charging $30/session now because I’m in portfolio building, but I’m eventually aiming for a session price of $75-100.
I’m also trying to come up with wedding packages. It’s a lot of information to go through, a lot of options to consider. I’m trying not to overload myself with unnecessary work; I want to keep things as simple as possible. On top of all that, I don’t think my lab is fitting all of my needs. 🙁 I’m looking to see if I can find one I like better.
Plus, I need a nap. I’m tired. lol.
I did have a great day yesterday, though. Aaron got home MUCH later than expected on Sunday, so he gave me the entire day yesterday "off." So I took off early, went and shot some pictures in the park, hung out at Borders for almost two hours. It was glorious! I bought "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" and spent forever in the children’s/education section.
I’m gonna go take a shower to wake my ass up.
