It was uncharacteristically noisy in my house today.  Chloe plus Jacob plus my 12 year old cousin all put together are a very raucous combination.  Also, Chloe wouldn’t take a nap, so the evening was liberally peppered with tantrums and meltdowns.

I’ve been doing some minor thinking on the marriage/divorce/reconciliation issue.  I’ve also been doing some heavy reading on the DrPhil.com website.  Despite his demeanor, which I can’t stand, he makes some very valid points on the subject and has a lot of really usefull, constructive information about rebuilding a marriage that I’ve been looking at.  Because my decision of "to reconcile or not to reconcile" is not going to be the most difficult part of this process.  If I decide to take another chance, then the most difficult part for both of us is going to be getting past the bitterness and the anger and learning how to be compassionate and loving toward one another again.  I think we’ll need a roadmap to help us do that, because I certainly wouldn’t have any idea where to start.  So, I’m looking, trying to have all the information in hand before I go back to him for another talk.

Oh, lord.  Ben just woke up and is bright eyed and bushy tailed.  It’s midnight, and I’m betting he doesn’t go back to sleep until at least three.  *dies*  Well, at least w/ Aaron here I can take a LONG nap tomorrow.

I taught myself to knit this evening.  Well, I taught myself the basics.  It’s fun, and a lot less complicated than I assumed.  And it’s relaxing; once you get the hang of what you’re doing you just kind of zone out and go through the motions.  Tomorrow I’m going to teach myself decreasing, increasing and the purl stitch, and then I might be ready to tackle a pattern.  We’ll see.  I’ve been learning from videos on YouTube, and they are the easiest things in the world to follow.

Now I need to go play with Ben.  Hopefully I can wear him out and he’ll crash sooner rather than later.
