Well, first things first, allow me to announce that I am FINALLY a college graduate! It was touch and go for about a week because I seriously thought I had failed my database class, but I managed a C, and barring a few exit loan counseling interviews, I’ll hold my degree in about two weeks. Can I just say how wonderful that feels? After WAY too many years plugging away at school, I’ve finally finished! Woohoo! 😀
Now I have paying back all the loans to look forward to. Oh, joy.
Anyway, with the stress of getting through school finally over with, I started working on the kids Easter clothes this evening. I redid the pattern I wanted to use for Chloe’s dress, and I got all the pieces cut out for her dress, plus all of the pieces for Ben’s pants. I’m looking forward to having some real time to work on those this week. With only two weeks until Easter, I don’t have too much time to iron out any problems that turn up, so I really want to get them underway and finished soon. Ben’s will be easy-peasy once I get the pants assembled; his shirt will just be a t-shirt with applique necktie which will take all of twenty minutes to finish. I just have to get the kitchen cleaned back up so there is room to drag out the ironing board and clear the table for the sewing machine.
We’re going to my in-laws for Easter for pretty much the first time ever. My mom is a bit put out by that, but his mom asked first and I thought it was only fair since they’ve barely seen the kids since Christmas and my parents get to see them every week.
Hopefully I’ll be going out on Wednesday to do my brother’s girlfriend’s senior portraits. I need to give my gear a serious cleaning first, though. The last time I picked up my camera, I noticed there are hairs and dust all over my sensor. Fun. I don’t know if the weather will be good enough, though. It’s been rainy so far this week.
This entry is going nowhere, so I’m going to sign off and head in the direction of my bedroom. Maybe I’ll write a more coherent entry tomorrow; I’ve got a blog entry planned for tomorrow anyway.
