Getting so tired of this $#!^
I swear, this one cow (who I will name Dimwit) at my work is just pissing me off to no end.
She’s constantly slacking off, leaving things undone, and she’s taken it so far as to both question if I’m gay and ask me if music school is where sissies go so they don’t have to get a real job after college.
Now, I realize that seniority has to count for something within a workplace, but C.J. obviously has his reasons for giving Dimwit fewer hours every week, while I’m getting 8-hour shifts and graveyards where I’m trusted to run the entire store by myself. When you have someone being paid for a job they’re not doing, you cut it down as much as you can if you don’t have reasonable cause to terminate them.
All of the above is pretty standard issue, but I’m really getting sick and damn tired of Dimwit whining to me about how she’s getting fewer hours. I don’t write the schedule. If there’s an issue, take it up with C.J.
So now, trying to be nice and accomodate her dentist’s appointment on Monday morning, I traded off an afternoon shift for Thursday … 8 hours for 8 hours … not knowing that C.J. didn’t want her working an afternoon which would leave her alone in the store for the last 2 hours of the shift. (lack of experience by Dimwit, or lack of trust by C.J., that’s neither here nor there). Because of this, C.J. gave the shift back to me and penned Dimwit in for an extra 10 hours the next week, 5 of which fall on a holiday at time-and-a-half.
So, because of this, she decides to call me at home, asking if I switched the shift back DESPITE C.J. LEAVING A NOTE IN THE STAFF NOTEBOOK THAT SHE OBVIOUSLY DIDN’T READ! In the process, the stupid bitch whines to me about how I’m still getting more hours and that she really needs the 8-hour shift.
did we miss something here? I DON’T WRITE THE SCHEDULE, THEREFORE PROBLEMS WITH IT SHOULD BE TAKEN UP WITH C.J.!
*grumbles and swears* wasting my time on my day off with shit that isn’t my damn problem.
GRRRRR!
Sounds like a fun filled day at work. Sorry to hear that you’ve got someone like that working with you. 🙁 Just tell her next time that she should talk to C.J. about it and not you, cuz clearly its not your responsibility.
