Poop, Pee and Religious Prostitutes

Dear Diary:
The first half of the semester is over. The GI/GU (or poop and pee) course is over. We had our final last night. I’m waiting for the grades to be posted but I think I did well on it. I needed to get at least a 30 on the exam to pass the class. I think I accomplished that. Next week we start cardiac and respiratory.

A friend of mine has turned me on to a new book called Kushiel’s Dart. It is hard to describe but it is an epic fantasy, re-envisioned history style. It is about this woman who is sold into indentured servitude and then decides to follow the teachings of Naamah, who was a woman who sold her body so her and Elud (think of a jesus type figure) could survive. So this woman, Phadre, is a religious prostitute. I don’t know why but I am sucked into the book. The sex scenes are relatively minimal but they have struck a chord in me and are hot. The book is 1000 pages and there are 9 books in the total series. I recommend it.
