Well.
I have no idea what is going on with my relationship.
Friday night, Rob got drunk. I caught him lying about it. Naturally I got upset. When I got home from practice, I went to talk to him about it. I talked very, very calmly.
I don’t think he listened to a word I said.
So I left, and we decided to start clean today. As you can guess, that didn’t happen.
I go down there, and I can tell he’s ill. But I get him talking about the Daytona 500 and he perks up a bit. But he goes in the den with the rest of his family and chatters with them, leaving me to sit and wait for a while in his room. He goes out to smoke, and I take the opportunity to go talk to him. He says he has a headache and is going to lay down for a while.
When he gets up, his "headache" is gone, but he is in a foul disposition.
I ask him what’s wrong, and he says he doesn’t want to talk about it. I ask him if it has to do with me, and he says yes. (My brain chemicals evidently decide that means it’s time to panic.) I ask him if it was about last night. He says it’s a lot of things. (Brain sends more chemicals to induce more prominent panicking.) I ask if he’s thinking of leaving me. He says no. (Chemicals slow down… a bit.)
Then all of a sudden, he decides he needs to leave.
He doesn’t just leave, though. He PICKS UP HIS FRIEND and then he leaves.
Oh wow. That’s very kind of you Rob. Leave your girlfriend so you can hang out with your friend. Now how do you expect that will make me feel?
Oh right. You don’t care. You have a one track mind. You think of no one but yourself. Even your mother says so.
That’s just great.
I’m thinking you should dump him. Good luck.

That’s not cool. Certainly no way to treat a girlfriend! I hope you talk and he shapes up, you don’t deserve to be treated like that.
